Don began his advanced education at Michigan State
University where he earned a B. S. in Chemistry in 1967.
He continued his studies, earning an M. A. in Chemistry
at Duke University in 1970.
While still enrolled at Duke, Don began his career with a
position at the National Institute of Environmental
Health Sciences (NIEHS) where he progressed to the
position of Research Scientist.
At NIEHS, Don established himself as an international
expert in mycotoxins then went on to similar recognition
as a mass spectrometrist. He has the distinction of giving
invited papers in each of these dis-similar subjects at
national scientific meetings.
Don is a co-founder of Triangle Laboratories, Inc. He was
instrumental in establishing the company as world leader
in commercial analytical mass spectrometry service.
During the course of his career at Triangle Labs he served
roles in science, technology, operations, sales, marketing,
legal, and finance.
