Benjamin is a certified Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer,
Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet. After serving
six years in the naval medical field he received an A.O.S. in
Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales in Charleston SC.
Four years as a contractor with IBM, Ben worked with
each type of IBM server installing multiple operating systems,
software and hardware upgrades. These servers were shipped
to partner vendors such as Intel, Digi, and Adaptec where
he was the first point of contact for any hardware testing
problems that may occur with the vendor product. Other tasks
given were to plan, build and manage inventory controls and
tracking for systems, hardware and test hardware for IBM's
Test and Development groups. With the operations group
Ben also worked with networking and computer repair.
In his culinary years, in addition to his various cooking and
pastry skills Ben managed large numbers of employees,
inventory, menu production and cost controls with high volume
restaurants and a cafeteria.
